Historical background
The Group Heck transport company was founded in 1872 by the Heck brothers. For many generations this family business has changed into a modern and efficient enterprise with a logistic approach.
The growth of the company was initially accompanied by the development of the city of Eupen, at the time renowned for its wool production on the banks of the river Vesdre. Jean Heck provided the transport of wool, wool processing equipment and fabrics to Prussia.
Already at the time the company was specialised in delivering tailor-made services. From the very beginning, investments were aimed at the special needs of customers.
Today, nearly 140 years later, this philosophy is still valid. The company has expanded, the range of services broadened, much like our knowledge and expertise.
Since 2011 we have been part of the worldwide network of DB Schenker and we have been able to extend our range of services to include pan-European land transport services, global air and ocean freight activities and supply chain management.
