International Transport
International road transport having been the founding business of JEAN HECK s.a. it remains today one of our core activities. It fits indeed very well in our global strategy and represents an essential supporting activity for our other departments.
Over the years, we did specialize in the handling of bulky and/or lightweight commodities, which can be classified as hazardous cargo (ADR). Our entire fleet is authorized for the transportation of ADR class commodities and all out drivers are permanently trained and fully qualified to handle them.
The following list is an example of product types which we do handle on a routine basis (both full and part loads) :

- Paints
- Building & fitting material

In order to perform these services, we do operate a fleet of modern and specialized motor vehicles.
90 % of our fleet consists of trailers and semi-trailers offering high cube loading capacities without impeding the tonnage.

Quality Assurance :
We pride ourselves in meeting our customers’ expectations by continuously investing in terms of :
- the training of our drivers
- the benchmarking of our performances (handling of claims, fuel consumption, accidents, delays etc …)
- Electronic tracking and positioning systems (GPS, tracing)
- EDP monitoring of the road haulage process
Our policy is to be leaders in road transportation technology and to anticipate your own requirements.
We have just recently invested in a new EDP system designed to offer a perfect traceability of the goods entrusted to our care, and allowing via a restricted access control – through internet – to properly trace the status of a particular delivery at any moment in terms of delivery time, driver’s name, receiver’s name, references etc …

In order to better serve our clients while offering a broader distribution network, our “International Transport” service relies upon the following three pillars :
1. Our own fleet of vehicles for destinations from or to whole Germany, Benelux, Austria as well as the north and the Lorraine region of France.
2. Two specialist subcontractors meeting our own quality requirements and operating under “our flag” for east Europe.
3. Chartering agreements with a few selected and trusted partners for the rest of Europe.
Fleet :
53 units with trailers, all fitted with board computers and GPS.
Due to historical reasons, the bulk of our activities takes place within a radius of ± 600 Km around our main facilities, an area including the Benelux countries, Western Germany and North Eastern France.
Thanks to our partnership agreements with selected subcontractors, JEAN HECK EUPEN can also offer integrated delivery services to more remote destinations.
ELVIS
To meet the growing European market in full loads, several medium-sized companies have joined forces to create a new partnership under the name ELVIS AG (= Europäischer Verbund-Ladung Internationaler Speditionen). In early 2010 we joined this cooperation, and are thus proud to be the first and only partner in Belgium.
The objective of this cooperation is to combine forces and establish a new network for the whole European market, in full loads.

- More than 8,000 trucks
